Before we conduct a training, we survey your staff to ensure that we address the exact information they need.
You can even request a free survey before training is scheduled to evaluate which topics will be most beneficial.
Post-testing confirms what your staff has learned and provides concrete data to justify your in-service expenditures.
Survey results
Findings from our surveys, some of which have been published in research journals, have shown that many SLPs receive inadequate training about key topics such as stuttering, counseling skills, working with children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, Autism Spectrum Disorders, literacy, swallowing and feeding disorders, neurogenic communication disorders, and minimizing the effects of bullying and teasing on children with communication difficulties.
Unfortunately, these are some of the same areas where it is hardest for clinicians to receive on-the-job training or gain needed knowledge from workshops in the community. Fortunately, research also shows that training in these areas can improve clinicians' skills - and this results in better outcomes for your clients and patients.
